General Private Lesson 1:1 Premium Saxophone - age 8+. Saxophone is Jamie’s foremost specialty. While it’s not necessary for students to have advanced aspirations, Jamie is one of the best sax teachers in LA. As such students should be prepared to take their lessons very seriously.
Guitar
Teen/College Bound 1:1 Consulting and Guiding through application and audition processes. Research and engagement with admissions departments. Coordination with guidance counselors and other support staff.
Pre-Conservatory Consulting
General Private Lesson 1:1 Premium Guitar - age 6+. Guitar is a close second specialty for Jamie. Curriculum is customized to each student and past clientele range from celebrities to early learners.
Youth Ensembles & Songwriting Workshops
1:1 or small groups. Over the years Jamie has had many students who come to him for songwriting help, or just an extra set of ears. Many of Jamie’s students have gone on to form their own bands and performances careers.

Elder Engagement
Facility based, group, B2B contract. Music is a proven method of slowing the progression of most types of dementia. Inspired by his own father’s Alzheimer’s diagnosis, Jamie has created a multi faceted program for maximum effect and engagement.

Trumpet and
Trombone
Jamie has 18 years experience teaching trumpet and is the grandson of a gifted trumpets player. He also has been teaching trombone in both 1:1 and group settings since 2022. Again, due to a deep familiarity with these brass instruments and the pedagogy therein, Jamie can and will take you far.
Preschool “Jammin’ with Jamie”
School based, small group, music and movement for ages 2 - 4. Also offered for homeschooling programs. Get those brains learning and appreciating music, early!
Bass, Ukulele, and other picked strings
If you can pick it, either with a pick or your fingers, Jamie can teach it to you. Bass is an incredibly interesting instrument with a wide variety of techniques used in playing it. Ukulele is a fantastic starting point for aspiring pickers, and both are offered in group and 1:1 formats.
Special Needs and
ASD Students
Jamie started working with his first Special Needs and ASD student in 2010, and has continued to develop that curriculum since. In 2020 and 2021 Jamie worked as a Behavioral Interventionist and learned the ABA method. Jamie does not ascribe to one specific method while working with this demographic because he believes each person and case is unique. Instead he draws on his many years of experience, and a variety of philosophies, to customize the curriculum to each student.
Piano
General Private Lesson 1:1 Premium Piano - age 4+. Jamie refers to piano as the Rosetta Stone of western music and he encourages every musician to know a little piano. Jamie also has both an acoustic upright piano and a full Casio electric piano in his home studio,
Clarinet, Flute, and Other Winds
Jamie has 20+ years experience teaching all types of winds, especially in the 1:1, sectional, and band settings. Learn any wind instrument with an expert familiar with both general wind and instrument specific pedagogy.
